On January 10, 2026, the Bluesteel Dragons gathered for kickoff. It marked the beginning of Team 10918’s rookie FIRST Robotics Competition season.
A day to begin.
The team’s photos from that day capture students together, kit unpacking, and learning at computers. They document an early moment in the season: the people and materials coming together before the competition milestones that followed.
Kickoff followed a fall of first experiences. In October, Mount Olive lent us a robot for Ramp Riot. In November, a visit to Central brought a connection with the RoboLancers, two borrowed XRP kits, and a cart. January opened the next chapter for Masterman Robotics.
From kickoff to the field.
Our rookie season went on to include the Rookie All Star Award at Philadelphia, the Team Spirit Award at Centennial, and participation in the FIRST Mid-Atlantic District Championship.
That season started with students showing up together. Mechanical, Electrical, Programming, Finance, Arts, Media, and Outreach all offer ways to take part in what comes next.
